Plan of intervention
The IECC believes that the left behind parent has neither the time and the expertise, nor the opportunities, to do the important ‘field work’ in the abducted-to state. The IECC intervenes and is primarily engaged in the tracking down and non-violent recovery of internationally abducted children, in order to bring them back to their habitual residence.
The IECC operates within Hague Convention and non-Hague Convention countries. For that matter, it is not always advisable to start a judicial procedure, particularly in non-Hague Convention countries. Keep in mind that in doing so the chance of recovery of the child is almost nil, as the decisions in these foreign procedures are often based on religious, cultural or other values.
Furthermore, experience tells us that it is best to exercise parental authority and recover the child quickly, before years go by and the child has adapted to the new environment, with all possible negative consequences. However, always in your child’s best interest, because of his or her interest is our priority !
We ONLY accept cases of parents who were left behind as victims.
We only accept the following cases:
child kidnapping, child abduction, wrongful child removal and illegal child retention
Our professional team uses only legal methods. Among some, but depending on the case:
negotiation with the child abductor, mediation between both parents, Judicial branch, Public Prosecutor’s office, Migrations, Police, Interpol
NOTE! Recovery/Rescue (Execution of a Court Sentence):
we always do it along with the Police and/or Interpol
(We are an international parental child recovery agency)
The IECC also believes that after-care is of the greatest importance for both the child and the left behind parent.
